I hate writing

It's only 600-700 goddamn words, but I can't get this column done. I can't get it rolling, can't start it. Everything I've written wanders or repeats itself. It's either too dry or trying too hard to be George Orwell. Sometimes I wonder if I can think clearly enough to do this kind of shit. A debater I'm not. I take photographs. Maybe I should just stick to describing things. But even my attempts at that have failed. Everything feels like snooze-alarm writing--you're not really asleep, but you wish you were.
