I wasn't joking with that last title
In a strange twist of foreshadowing, my second column is finished, and it's all about homosexuality. We'll see if they print it.
Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Been out of town celebrating the Spurs championship. By the way, nothing the sports pundits say can detract from the satisfaction this gives me. No matter what they say, the Spurs had the best record in the league, beat three of the toughest matchups in the league on their way to the finals, and then dispatched a pesky New Jersey team (who never had much of a chance against any Western team, even if it became trendy to say they did against the Spurs). Add to that the ridiculous youth of this team's major contributors (Parker, Ginobili, Jackson, and Claxton all with two years of experience or less) and Tim Duncan's absolutely amazing but somehow underrated and ignored performance and I'm one happy gringo, fuck what the ratings say.
Update: For those of you following the discussion in the comments section, here's the other editorialist's piece that irked me enough to respond to it: Brian Bodine is so gay.
Now, let's see what I dig up out of the old photo archive . . . ah, yes, from Zilker Park--this photo rules because it looks like it's 70 years old.
