Summer days, wasting away . . .

We actually got to know the upstairs neighbors last night, and they rewarded our hospitality with an endless fount of Dos Equis.

Woke up hungover. Fended it off with a combo of water, coffee, homemade breakfast tacos, books, and jazz. Spent the entire day lounging and reading. Kriston and Amy joined in; Kevin and Danny stopped by intermittently. We mixed in some interesting discussions on education, homosexuality, Seth's dad, etc. Then we watched Sex in the City and The Wire, good episodes of both. (I still can't believe Charlotte said that to Harry. I like that girl less and less, in spite of her overwhelming hotness.)

Finally got moving and went to Mojo's to work on column. On the way over, I glimpsed a giant glowing-lemon full moon that colored nearby cloud cover brown. Hit all the lights and found a parking spot behind the place. When I got out of my car, two guys were sitting on a car near mine freestyling and drinking Silver Bullets.
