Editors, halt!

Not to stifle the intense discourse raging about my thesis essays, but if you were contemplating giving one a read, you might as well hold off. I got my edits back from my adviser today, and four of the five are going to need significant overhauls. On the plus side, JT really liked "My Generation's War." Somehow, several pages contained only check marks and and not a single other edit. I didn't think this was possible. JT's splashes checks with abandon, but he doesn't hold back at all with negative remarks, either ("Come on, Matt," he said incredulously on another essay, before calling my statement "facile"). The rest of my essays could be the dirty side of toilet paper, but having turned out one that went over so well makes all this worth it. It at least shows the capability is there, if not always executed.

Anyways, back to reality. Hold off, and I'll have fresh drafts of them all by the end of the weekend, hopefully.
