An update

Hey, it's Danny's birthday today. Holla at the boy and throw in suggestions on a good place to get birthday grub tonight.

As many of you know, my friend Lynnette is in from Cape Town, South Africa, this month. So for the past week, I've been entertaining her and not posting. I've also got a hangover right now, thanks to "Andre" brand champagne, a certain grape variety called "Cold Duck" in particular (mad ups to Clare and Maryann's party). Let's see, over the past week, we've eaten at a bunch of Mexican restaurants (Chacho's, Los Jalapenos, Henry's Puffy Taco); we caught up with some old friends from high school; and we shopped. Lynnette spent $42 at Family Thrift in San Antonio, but I think she ended up getting like two jackets, almost a dozen T-shirts, some pants, and maybe even a few girlie slips, and I got a pair of sweet seventies-vintage JC Penny sneakers. We also hit up . . . let's see, Uncommon Objects, Camera Co-op, Barton Creek Mall, and Urban Outfitters (where she bought her sisters Hello Kitty panties). Yes yes, add to all this shopping all the eating and drinking we've done, and it's been, well, a vacation. One problem: anyone know where to get a good scarf that's a little cheaper than Banana Republic's $90 cashmiere variety?

Actually, two problems: I lost Lynnette. She got a ride home from the party a little early, and I was too drunk to drive so I passed out at Clare's. I got home around 11 this morning, and Lynnette was gone. No word on where she went; just a damp towel in my bathroom. It's now 3.07 p.m. Do you know where your African is?

Pics, bitch!

Justin took this while I was out taking Seemay's portraits. I should make it the banner across this thing, but my brain's too foggy right now to haggle with HTML.
