This cell phone is fully operational!

Oh, shit, my new cell phone battery arrived today — I'm back on the block. Nothing much else to report. I worked about nine hours at the Texan. Today marked the beginning of a long string of interviews I have to do. Because I'm the new guy, I got stuck chatting with, and giving feedback to, the wannabe columnists. One perk: I got to meet the really cute aspiring columnist. Strange coincidence: She commutes from San Antonio twice a week to go to school here (long story). Turns out, she lives off Bandera and Guilbeau. I live off Bandera and Huebner. We grew up about 5 minutes away from each other, but she went to private school. Stranger still: She laughs at my jokes. Fun fact: Her email address is something like nalgas34@whatever.com; "nalgas," roughly translated, is Spanish for "buttcheeks."

This semester's shaping up all right.
