This is one of my favorite pictures, so I'm posting it again
I passed the guy in the middle of this picture leaving HEB tonight. It took me a second to place him, to figure out why he looked familiar as we brushed by each other, but when I did, I realized the absurdity of the situation. Think about it: Imagine walking into HEB and finding out some random guy waiting to get around your basket knows you as "that guy from the Emo's picture." I imagine everyone would react a little differently, with their own personal mix of "creepy," "cool," "huh?" and "that's fucked up."
Now think about all those people you pass every day whom you don't know, so you, perhaps incorrectly, assume that they don't know you from Adam either. It's weird to think that for someone out there, maybe I'm "that guy" from that picture or that lecture class or that party or that game of basketball at Greg Gym. It happens all the time; we've all got our handful of people like that. I don't think any of us think the opposite is true. Well, it probably is.
