"Opinions were like kittens, I was giving them away"
Ah, nothing like a drunken tirade gently hued with delicate vulgarities to reinvigorate the soul.
Well, not really, but it did kind of show me that I don't have much left to contribute to the debate. It also showed me that I had a very frustrating weekend, but that's at least marginally better after the Astros whumped the Braves last night. (No do-overs for the 'Horns and Cowboys, though.) It only took half a century, but Houston finally advanced in the playoffs — an event of utmost importance to the fabric of history, I know. That game they blew on Sunday still made the bottom of my feet sweat for some reason, and, sadly, I missed their triumph because I had to cover an always-riveting Temple ISD school board meeting.
Fun fact from reports to the board: Every time an employee is bitten and injured by a student — happened twice last year — it costs $1,500 to treat the wound. Yeow! Stop the presses!
Anyways, the point of writing this post was to let you know that I'll be taking a little blogging break for a while. I started this thing to keep myself writing every day, and now that my job takes care of that, I've found I really don't have much to say these days. Even when I try, it never comes out right. All part of the frustration I was talking about. Plus, my life/apartment/etc. in Temple are still in disarray, and I have several other projects that need addressing. This site also badly needs to be overhauled; I can't stand to look at it every time I load it up. I'll drop a photo or two in here from time to time since I'll be working on photo projects. They'll also contribute to a longer photography tutorial I want to put together at several friends' requests.
Um, yeah, that's about it.
