Excuses, excuses

matt on overpass walkway, originally uploaded by Mr. Wright.

Every day on my way to work I drive across this overpass, which curves up over four sets of train tracks like a lazy rainbow. Tonight was the first time I actually set foot on it.

That little blue dot on the left is the half-full moon. I didn't even notice it when I was setting up the shot, but I think it adds something. What, I'm not sure.

I have several more pictures from tonight's photoshoot that I will upload tomorrow, I hope. I know, I know, yet another promise of posts to come. Honestly, I was going to blog tonight, but the weather was just too mild to pass up.

A list of posts that I want to write soon:

— The long-ago promised photography tutorial
— A general update on my life
— A description of what I've learned about journalism thus far at the Telegram
— Why I love HBO's The Wire
— On luck
— On the sensitivity of old wounds
— What I'm thinking about doing with the next year of my life following my Temple stint
— Some discussion, at Krison's request, of my aesthetics of photography
— My kick-ass mushroom cream sauce recipe
— Why the Spurs whomp and your team doesn't
Never enough time in a day.
