Update from across the pond

For those of you who know my friend Lynnette, who is living in Edinburg right now, I touched base with her after the London attacks and she's doing fine. Her e-mail was worth passing along; I like it's tone:
Thanks for the concern but I'm fine. The attacks on London today were pretty scary tho. What the hell is going on?

I'm due to fly to London Sat morning and taking the tube into central london. Hopefully the trains will be up and running by then. Edinburgh has been a bit crazy. Saturday myself and [her sister] Rene (she was in town) took part in the Make Poverty History march which was amazing.

The march on Monday were a bunch of idiots [who] want to cause shit really. All that happened is buses home from work got diverted and it took longer to get back into
town. Other than the stupid protesters, around Edinburgh had a very positive vibe last weekend.

Today there was a bomb scare on one of the buses tho. They closed off the main street again with this bus with the mysterious package. People are a bit paranoid which is normal. Right after the news of the bomb attacks came through, I had to leave for work and of course that means taking a bus.

I'm sure I'll be fine this weekend going through London. I'm not going to let idiots change my plans.
That's a sweet closing line.
