Attention get!

Before this picture got lost in the shuffle, I wanted to bring special attention to it. It's a perfect illustration of the fact that, in a pinch, shoot first and worry about how it comes out later. Just get the shot off.

I'm sure I was just trying to capture the kiss, apparently firing from the hip, hence the funky slant. Yet I ended up capturing the kid on the left — the groom's son — firing off the garter belt. Beautifully lucky. This feels like a shot like it is almost worthy of the space above the New Yorker's goings-on section. Check there each week for a really interesting photo, by the way.
