Yeah, baby, I'm now an official member of the psuedo-journalist fraternity, part of that trailblazing new breed of unemployed English majors: I cover events for a blog.

Thanks to a little good word from Justin, last week I joined the staff of the Austinist. So far I've posted a couple quick event notices and couple snapshots, but the best thing is that I can get all kinds of media access to relatively minor events, such as a John McCain booksigning today. Fun stuff, plus I also got my uncle one hell of a Christmas present.

Mostly I'll be helping all these hipster elites cover sports, but if I post anything worth noting, I'll let y'all know.
